Time to take our minds off matters political

Okay, the election is over and the overall result is known, even if counting continues in close-run seats.

Now can we just have a break from vicious political point-scoring?

How about just reflecting on nature’s lovely spring gifts: fresh air, brighter days, flowering plants and gorgeous sunlit views?

Yesterday we spent the morning on the nearby Redcliffe Peninsula and I tried out three different devices for taking photos (Canon G1X, iPhone 4S and iPad) to record some springtime sights.

Here’s what distracted me for a few hours.

(PS: For the eagle-eyed, yes, I’ve fixed the typo in the headline and ‘of’ is now ‘off’)
